Experimental Study on the Flexural Strength of Sea Ice during Melting Season in Central Arctic Regions

During the 13th Chinese National Arctic Research Expedition in August 2023, full-thickness ice blocks were collected from the ice floe in the central Arctic Ocean(82.3°N and 84.4°N ). Three-point bending tests in the field and laboratory were conducted to investigate the flexural strength and effective elastic modulus of sea ice during melting season.
