KATSIM Observational Study

This dataset contains anonymized clinical measurements collected during the validation of the KATSIM multi-depth vision simulator. The dataset includes preoperative best corrected visual acuity (BCVA), pinhole acuity, KATSIM-simulated visual acuity at far, intermediate, and near distances, andpostoperative BCVA measurements from cataract patients. The study includes patient age, sex, eye laterality (OS/OD), and cataract classification. The device details are shared in the study titled “Optical Design and Characterization of a Multi-Depth Vision Simulator” (arXiv:2512.19168). The dataset is generated with clinical trials that are done with the KATSIM device, and they are subject to a manuscript titled; Multicenter Prospective Observational Comparative Study of the KATSIM Vision Simulator for Predicting Postoperative Acuity in Cataract Surgery; which is in the submission process.
