资源简介:
This data record contains data associated with the publication: Douglas SRL, Tebbett SB, Choukroun S, Goatley CHR, Bellwood DR (2023) Depth stratified light trap sampling reveals variation in the depth distribution of late-stage cryptobenthic reef fish larvae. Coral Reefs doi: 10.1007/s00338-023-02363-x
In this study we used depth-stratified light-trap sampling to examine the depth distributions of late-stage cryptobenthic reef fish larvae at two sites on the windward side of Lizard Island on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. Three light traps were arranged along a single line at shallow (2 m), mid (13 m) and deep (27 m) depths. The water depth in deployment locations was 28-30 m. Sampling was conducted in January/February 2020, with 5 replicate array deployments at each of the two sites. One light trap array was deployed per day. The two CSV files in this dataset contain the raw data from this light trap sampling. File 1 contains data on the raw abundance of reef fishes from each family for each light trap sample. File 2 contains data on the total length (in mm) of measured Apogonidae individuals from light trap samples.
For full methodological details, please see the published manuscript (outlined above).
