Most popular music performers on Spotify in Hungary 2023

In 2022, Hungarians mostly listened to domestic music. Two domestic performers, Azahriah and DESH recorded the highest number of Spotify streams, measuring at nearly 34 million. When it comes to Hungarians’ favorite song on Spotify, “Pullup” from Azahriah and DESH recorded the highest number of spins, reaching 6.5 million. Music streaming usage Even though Spotify has become the leading music streaming platform in many countries, Hungarians still seem to prefer using YouTube. In 2022, YouTube Music was still the number-one music streaming service in the country, used by 20 percent of surveyed Hungarians. In comparison, only 12 percent of the respondents used Spotify, while SoundCloud and Apple Music were used by two percent of the population. Hungarians’ favorite songs on YouTube Considering Hungarians’ music consumption via YouTube, there are no major differences compared to the taste of Spotify users, as the majority of the most popular songs are domestic performances. In 2022, the song with the highest number of streams was “Úristen” by Valmar and Szikora Robi, counting nearly 28 million views over the year. “Kukásautó” from DESH and Azahriah ranked second in the same year, reaching approximately 17 million views.
