Time series from geodynamo simulations S0, S1 and S2

Time-series of various quantities recorded during the geodynamo simulations described in Schaeffer+ 2017 (GJI).<br>Some quantities appear in some files and not the other.Read the file using the python function <code>xs_load_diags</code> found in the file of the same name.<br>Example:<br> y = load_diags('energy.S0')<br> plot(y['t'],y['Eu']) # displays kinetic energy Eu as a function of time<br>Quantities found in these data files are:Eu: kinetic energy; Eb: magnetic energy; EZ* : zonal energies, ENZ*: non-zonal energies.EZu_ps, ENZb_ta : zonal poloidal symmetric kinetic energy, non-zonal toroidal anti-symmetric magnetic energy (symmetric and antisymmetric refer to symmetry with respect to the equatorial plane)Bx,By,Bz are proportional to the dipole component along these axes.f_dip is a measure of dipolarity: the dipole strength divided by the total strength, at the fluid surfaceD_nu, D_eta are the viscous and magnetic dissipation powerP_conv is the convective power<br><br><br><br>
