This depository contains the codes and data used in the paper "A Collisional History of the L Chondrite Parent Bodies", to be published in Nature Astronomy (10.1038/s41550-025-02615-6)The literature datasets used for statistics and for plotting the ages repartition, for both upper and lower intercept ages: loweragesdataset.csv and upperagesdataset.csv.Upperagesdaraset.csv Dataset used to build figure 2: Inventory of older meteorite ages in U-Pb, including this work and references 20,23,26,28,29,30,31 in the paperLoweragesdataset.csv Dataset used to build figure 3: Inventory of younger meteorite ages in Ar-Ar, U-Pb, including this work and references 15,16,20,23,26,27,28,29,30,31 in the paperThe SIMS data file, containing measurements of standards and meteorites, raw and corrected: SIMSdata.xlxsThis spreadsheet contains 6 tabs relating to the SIMS measurements that yielded the upper and lower intercept ages of this study. The first sheet is a description of the content and legends. Then the following sheets are the measurements for the standards, the corrected values, and the raw SIMS data, for two separate analyses session in October 2020 (Tenham & Acfer 040) and May 2022 (all other samples) respectively.The code used for the creation of the V shape diagramm of the S-type complex of Nysa-PolanaAs for the code part:the file nysaPolanaS.dat contains Nysa-Polana family members were selected from Nesvorny et al. 2015 membership filtered to have pV>0.12 and slope of the reflectance spectrum >5 %/(100 nm) and a depth of the silicate absorption band centered around 950 nm with -0.265 < (z-i) < -0.005The columns are: IAU numberIAU nameHGProper semimajor axis (au)Proper eccentricity Proper sin inclination Diameter (km)Diameter uncertainty (km)Geometric visible albedo Geometric visible albedo uncertaintySpectral slope (DR3)z-i (DR3)The last two columns are from the survey of astroid spectra by Gaia published as DR3. https://www.aanda.org/articles/aa/pdf/forth/aa43791-22.pdfThe paper is published and fully referredThe code may be ran in the Linux/MacOS terminal by the following command:gnuplot vshapeScan.gnuplotThis requires unix commands g++, gnuplot and awk and results in the plot vshapeScan.pdf than can then be used to obtain the age of the S complex.
