The Charleston Neighborhood Change Index aggregates American Community Survey Census data from 2014 and 2019 to examine change in neighborhood demographics at the census tract level on 6 metrics that are potential indicators of gentrification. The methodology used to calculate the Change Index closely follows that of the Los Angeles Index of Neighborhood Change, and data comes from the following ACS layers: 1.) ACS Educational Attainment Variables - Boundaries 2010 – 2014 ACS Educational Attainment Variables - Boundaries 3.)
