Threatened Species Habitat Restoration and Monitoring at Mt Mort

The Green Army will work cooperatively with Queensland Trust for Nature volunteers, staff, University of Queensland Koala Ecology Group and the community to restore koala, brush-tailed rock-wallaby and spotted-tailed quoll habitat on private land in Ipswich Shire. The three main objectives are: 1. To remove weeds from a core habitat area to improve access to food trees and allow for increased fauna movement across the landscape. 2. To conduct a pest survey survey, assessment and management project to reduce the threat of dogs, foxes and cats. 3. To raise awareness within the community about the threats and habitat needs of koalas, brush-tailed rock-wallabies and quolls through a community field event.
