"Ball mill gaskets endure high-frequency vibration, axial movement, and material impact during continuous operation, operating under alternating loads and friction conditions. This results in a pronounced progressive wear pattern. Initially, this manifests as slight surface scratches and elasticity loss. With increasing operating time, uniform wear, localized crushing, and edge peeling occur on the contact surface, leading to a gradual thinning of the gasket and a continuous decline in sealing and cushioning performance. When wear exceeds the design threshold, it causes increased clearance, reduced bolt preload, and seal failure leading to slurry and powder leakage. This further exacerbates the relative displacement between the mill cylinder and end cap, inducing abnormal noise and increased vibration, directly impacting grinding accuracy and equipment stability. In actual production, it is necessary to periodically inspect thickness changes and surface integrity. When the wear depth reaches 1\/3 of the original thickness or obvious cracks or plastic deformation appear, the gasket should be replaced promptly to prevent further damage to components and downtime due to gasket failure."
