Data from: Mollusc-associated leeches from Manipur with the first records of two invasive <i>Helobdella</i> species from India (Hirudinida: Glossiphoniidae)

Here, we present primary research materials from our paper entitled “Mollusc-associated leeches from Manipur with the first records of two invasive Helobdella species from India (Hirudinida: Glossiphoniidae)” (Ecologica Montenegrina; DOI: https://doi.org/10.37828/em.2025.87.8). The species under discussion are as follows: (1) Alboglossiphonia pahariensis Nesemann & Sharma, 2007 (mollusc-associated leech); (2) Hemiclepsis myanmariana Bolotov et al., 2019 (mollusc-associated leech); (3) Helobdella octatestisaca Lai & Chang, 2009 (mollusc-associated and invasive leech); (4) Helobdella europaea Kutschera, 1987 [= Placodella godavariensis Mandal & Dhani, 2015 syn. nov.] (invasive leech). OCCURRENCE DATASET Dataset S1. Georeferenced occurrences of the glossiphoniid leech species under discussion The dataset contains available occurrences of four leech species within their native and non-native ranges, that is, Alboglossiphonia pahariensis, Hemiclepsis myanmariana, Helobdella octatestisaca, and Helobdella europaea [= Placodella godavariensis]. It was compiled from published sources and original data. The list of references is given below the dataset in the same Excel spreadsheet. Occurrences were georeferenced with Google Earth (https://earth.google.com) and Google Maps (https://www.google.com/maps) tools. SPECIMEN PHOTOS (by Tatyana A.
