"A design of a 4-channel X-band high-power waveguide-based microwave combiner intended for use in amplifier devices is presented. The combiner consists of a waveguide section with inserted power extraction probes and tuning elements. This design provides low insertion loss and withstands a pulsed power level of 1000 W (at a duty cycle of 7). The article discusses in detail the design and prototyping process of the waveguide combiner. Electromagnetic simulation and experimental characterization of the fabricated combiner prototype have been performed. The prototype was tested at an input signal frequency from 9.1 to 9.7 GHz and an input pulsed power level of 1000 W (duty cycle 7). Prototyping has demonstrated the viability of the proposed combiner design. The simulation results show compliance with the initial design requirements and the validity of the simulation model."
