Transcriptome analysis reveals key genes and pathways that the nuclear receptor PPARα acts on vascular aging

Our research is helpful to understand the physiological and pathological level changes caused by the nuclear transcriptional receptor PPARα acts on vascular aging, to find the mechanism of the signaling pathway downstream of PPARα in VSMCs, and to determine which signaling pathway is mediated by PPARα In this study, we harvested the entire aortas from 2-, 28- month-old Ppara△SMC and Pparafl/fl mice. The young control group, young knockout-aortas group, aged aortas, and aged knockout-aortas (5 samples each) were subjected to RNA sequencing.
