资源简介:
Analyses were undertaken on three coprolites from the Paisley 5 Mile Point Caves.
Radiocarbon ages indicate that these coprolites date to approximately 12,200 years BP.
Analyses include a color test using trisodium phosphate to identify whether or not these
coprolites are human in origin, as well as pollen, starch, phytolith, macrofloral, parasite, and
Fourier Transform infrared spectrometry (FTIR). This series of examinations seek to provide as
much information as possible concerning the origin of the coprolites, as well as consumption of
foods and potential presence of parasites.
