Transcriptome of Nilaparvata lugens exposed to fiproles

The study aimed to assess the mechanisms of fiprole resistance in Nilaparvata lugens, the brown planthopper. N. lugens is an important pest of rice in Asia and there is a widespread problem with resistance to insecticides. This study took N. lugens populations that had been exposed to fiproles in the field and then continued selection with fiproles in the laboratory. These populations were designed to be compared against the unselected field populations and a laboratory susceptible population.
