Ectosymbiont Candidatus Symbiothrix dinenymphae of Dinenympha sp.. Candidatus Symbiothrix dinenymphae

Uncultured ectosymbiont bacterium Candidatus Symbiothrix dinenymphae of Dinenympha sp. Ca. S. dinenymphae belongs to cluster V of the order Bacteroidales. The host Dinenympha sp. is an uncultured protist species belonging to the order Oxymonadida. Dinenympha sp. inhabits the gut of the termite Reticulitermes speratus. A single cell of Ca. S. dinenymphae was isolated and its DNA was amplified by MDA.
