Patient-derived models of brain metastases recapitulate human disseminated disease

In this work, we have established a library of 23 patient-derived xenografts (PDXs) of brain metastases (BMs) from patients with diverse primary tumors. We have performed a histopathological characterization of the PDX tumors and their matched donor patient, and validated their efficacy as tools for drug testing. We have compared the transcriptomic signature of matched patient and mice xenografts by RNA sequencing analysis. Data from this analysis is made available here.
