NRS-140 | Memoranda of allotment of sheep brands and earmarks

Sheep earmarks and brands are required to be registered with the appropriate Pastures Protection Board under the provisions of the Pastures Protection Act, 1934-1951. These memoranda are completed forms showing name of property holder and holding, Pastures Protection District, number and diagram of colour brand and earmark, number of sheep and position of holding of registered earmark. The memoranda are filed in annual bundles and sub-arranged according to the Pasture Protection District, between 1952 and 1959. From 1960 they are filed in quarterly or half-yearly bundles, each bundle being sub-arranged in alphabetical order according to the Pastures Protection District1952-62 (7/1962A-1972B), Mar 1971-Dec 1974 (14/5640-46). 28 boxes.
