The almost complete dinosaur femur (ZPAL MgD-III/22) was found in the Baynshire Formation (Mongolia) in 1963 during the Polish-Mongolian Paleontological Expeditions. ZPAL MgD-III/22 belonged to a representative of Titanosauriformes. Thin sections of ZPAL MgD-III/22 are characterized by presensce of specific primary bone tissue - modified laminar bone (MLB). Given the bone microstructure, the specimen ZPAL MgD-III/22 appears to be a subadult (HOS 7). In this dataset, we share raw data - photohraphs of thin sections (from fourth trochanter and midshaft region) under polarizing microscope and 3D model of the femur.
