The purpose of this study was to investigate the microbiome in milk samples ob-tained from bovines with subclinical and catarrhal mastitis, as well as bovines with udder irritation, by sequencing the 16S rRNA gene (hypervariable region V3). This study can help to better under-stand the nature of mastitis and the role of the microbiome in this pathology.
