Active Acoustics and Light Data from the Polar Night in Svalbard

Light pollution from a ship disrupts Arctic fish and zooplankton behaviours down to 200m depth. The purpose of this study is to investigate how light pollution from a ship affects the vertical distribution of macrozooplankton and pelagic fish communities around the ship, and assess the potential for bias in biological surveys carried out from ships artificially illuminating an otherwise dark environment.
