Responses of Edible Mushrooms to Pseudomonas tolaasii Inoculation: Morphological Alterations and Defense Gene Expression

This project aims to investigate transcriptomic responses in edible mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus, Agaricus bisporus, and Lentinula edodes) after infection by the bacterial pathogen Pseudomonas tolaasii. Using RNA-seq, we identified differentially expressed genes involved in defense mechanisms such as laccase activity, kinase signaling, and hydrophobin expression. The findings provide insight into fungal immune responses against brown blotch disease.
