New registrations of clean diesel vehicles in Japan 2014-2023

In 2023, approximately 169.68 thousand clean diesel vehicles were newly registered in Japan, up from about 140.34 thousand new registrations in the previous year. Since 2015, sales have fluctuated, peaking at roughly 176.73 thousand units sold in 2018.
