Tattoo Coverage and Personality.sav

This study used the alternative DSM-5 hierarchical model of personality disorders to compare the personalities of individuals with and without tattoos. A sample of 132 people from Cyprus answered questions about tattoo body coverage and personality traits based on the PID-5-BF. Of the participants, 76 (57.6%) said they had at least one tattoo, 51 (38.6%) said they had none, and five did not reply.
According to the results, people with tattoos tend to have dysfunctional personality traits compared to the general population without tattoos. Specifically, people with tattoos had significant differences in the areas of disinhibition and antagonism with a large-sized effect, and both of these traits were significant predictors of tattoo body coverage.
