资源简介:
A total of 107 brachiopod genera of Hirnantian age among 42 localities worldwide are compiled into a binary dataset (Table S1; presence =1, absence = 0). The majority of the faunal lists was derived from the well-screened Hirnantian brachiopod faunal data of Rong et al. (2020). In this study, the Hirnantian faunal lists are updated for the following localities: Anticosti Island, eastern Canada; Edgewood region, American Mid-Continent; Mackenzie Mountains, northwestern Canada. Detailed discussions on these faunal update and references are provided in the main paper (section on Paleobiogeography of the Mackenzie Mountains Hirnantian fauna). , The faunal list data were collected from the following sources:
Taxonomic study of the Hirnantian brachiopods from the Mackenzie Mountains (this study).
Taxonomic reassessment of Hirnantian-age brachiopods from Anticosti Island (eastern Canada) and the Edgewood region (American Mid-continent).Â
Existing publications that reports Hirnantian-age brachiopods.Â
The dataset consists of supplemental data from \"Latest Ordovician (Hirnantian) brachiopod faunal lists used for non-matric multidimensional scaling (NMDS) and network analyses\" (see Figs. 3 and 4 of main paper), , # Late Ordovician (Hirnantian) brachiopod faunal list used for multivariate and network analyses
Data Structure:
Cases (Column 1: localities)
Variables (Row 1: brachiopod genera; 1=presence; 0=absence)
Data was derived from the following sources (see Data Description):
Multivariate (including network) analyses of Hirnantian brachiopod faunas from Laurentia and other tectonic plates (Fig. 3 and Fig.4 of the main paper) is based on the dataset Table-S1 Hirnantian Faunal List.xlsx.
The datasheet file (Hirnantian Faunal List.xlsx) contains two sheets:
Sheet 1 without singletons: In this data sheet, 67 genera are listed. Among the genera listed in sheet 2, a genus is omitted if it is known from only a single locality. This is the datasheet used for Fig. 3 and Fig. 4 of the main paper because singleton genera do not contribute to network relationships.
Sheet 2 with singletons: In this datasheet, 107 genera are listed, regardless whether a genus is known from a single locality or from mul...
