Atlanta Region Planning Areas

This layer was developed by the Research & Analytics Division of the Atlanta Regional Commission and contains the boundary polygons for all of ARC's various planning regions. It was derived from the Counties Layer by dissolving specific groups of county polygons into regions and then merging those polygons together. The resulting single Layer of Atlanta Regions contains a "Region" field for use with the Definition Query and Clip-to-Shape functions in ArcGIS. This Layer would most likely be used as an outer boundary in conjunction with the Counties Layer with labels or symbology describing the Region(s).
