Comparison of gut microbiota between responders and non-responders to acupuncture in atopic dermatitis patients

To explore the potential contribution of the gut microbiota in modulating therapeutic outcomes of acupuncture in atopic dermatitis, a comparative microbiome analysis was conducted between responders and non-responders to acupuncture treatment. This project includes a total of 56 Illumina sequencing datasets from stool samples of 29 atopic dermatitis patients, consisting of 29 pre-treatment and 27 post-treatment samples. The analysis aims to identify microbial signatures associated with treatment responsiveness in this chronic inflammatory skin condition.
