资源简介:

Scholastic Theology. This manuscript is now IO Bijapur 194 in the India Office collections. [metadata: Otto Loth, A Catalogue of the Arabic Manuscripts in the Library of the India Office, (volume 1), no. 399 here with further notations and hyperlinks]. 399. B 194. Size 83/4 in. by 51/4 in.; foll. 152. Nineteen and twenty-one lines in a page. Foll. 1-85. Glosses on Taftâzânî’s Commentary, ascribed to AḤMAD JANDÎ (probably Sharaf al-dîn Aḥmad b. ‘Omar b. ‘Othmân; see Ḥ. Kh. vi. 305). These glosses begin: الحمدلله اردف التسمیة بالتحمید and comprise about one-half of the original work. Constant reference is made in them to the glosses of Khayâlî, الفاضل المحشّی. Written in Nasta’liḳ, by Nûr Muḥammad ..,1 at Agra. Marginal notes. Extracts from these glosses, marked جند, are to be found on the margin of an Indian lithographed edition of Taftâzânî’s Commentary (s.l.). Foll. 86-152. Annotations on Khayâlî’s Glosses, by ḲUL AḤMAD (b. Muḥammad b. Khiḍr, who lived in the tenth or eleventh century). Cf. Ḥ. Kh. iv. 222. These annotations include Khayâlî’s preface. Clearly written in Nasta’liḳ. Foll. 1-5 have been supplied in a very close hand-writing, which mostly runs diagonally. 1 The rest of the colophon is rather illegible. It would appear that the scribe was a native of Sindh, Parganah Gâgrî, Wilâyat Bhakkar.
