Method: Agreement, reliability and feasibility of two protocols assessing horses' musculoskeletal and rostral oral health

We designed a protocol for the assessment of musculoskeletal health (MSH, 4 parameters: muscle palpation, periarticular tissue palpation, joint restriction and visceral palpation) and adapted an existing protocol for the assessment of the rostral oral cavity (ROC, 6 parameters: "gingival margin", "tartar margin", "tartar surface", "cracks", "degree of abrasion" and "type of abrasion").We evaluated the agreement between raters obtained with the two protocols, testing their intra- and inter-rater reliability using Kappa and Gwet indices.The feasibility and validity of each protocol was also discussed.
