Mycobacterium abscessus species (MABS) is one of the most antimicrobial-resistant pathogens and is known to be challenging to treat. In addition, the possibility of person-to-person transmission of MABS has been suspected, making the treatment strategies more complicated. In this study, we aim to identify the genotypic characteristics and transmission routes for MABS treatment and infection control.
