In Ovo Exposure of Mallard Ducks to Emerging PFAS

Various per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) have been shown to interfere with transcriptional pathways linked to growth, development, and reproduction. The aim of this study was to assess PFECHS and PFDoDS (two unregulated PFASs compounds) developmental effects alongside PFOS (regulated), using the mallard duck (Anas platyrhynchos) as a model species. We report liver mRNA and microRNA profiles in ducklings exposed in ovo to PFOS, PFECHS and PFDoDS.
