RDIFS-ANPP data from shrubland, grasslands, and woodland in Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge in 1999

A long-term study has been established at the Sevilleta LTER in central New Mexico to monitor aboveground net primary production across four distinct ecosystems: creosote shrubland (C), blue grama grassland (B), black grama grassland (G), and pinon/juniper woodland (P). Above ground biomass production (ANPP) is sampled three times in 1999 (winter, spring and fall) for all species at each of the four sites (At this time, large woody bushes and trees at the P site are not measured). In addition, volumetric measurements are obtained from permanent plots at the four sites to build regressions correlating biomass and volume. (See nppweight_protocol_current).
