VCGLR - Gaming Expenditure by Venue (Point) 2016 - 2017

Released bi-annually, this data set provides information relating to the total expenditure at each gaming venue for the 2016/17 financial year. It includes venue classification and the allocation of electronic gaming machines (EGMs) throughout Victoria.\n\nFor more information visit the [Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation's (VCGLR) website](https://www.vcglr.vic.gov.au).\n\nChanges in trading name:\n\n * MILDURA GRAND HOTEL changed name to GRAND ON DEAKIN in February 2017\n\n * ZEGAME'S CARDINIA HOTEL changed trading name to CASTELLO'S CARDINIA HOTEL in Aug 2016.\n\n * VICTORIAN HARNESS RACING SPORTS CLUB changed trading name to MVRC JUNCTION CLUB in May 2017\n\nPlease note:\n\n * AURIN has spatially enabled the [original data](https://www.vcglr.vic.gov.au/resources/data-and-research/gambling-data/gaming-expenditure-venue) through joining it with gaming venue locations from the VCGLR's [interactive map of Victoria's gaming venues](https://geomaps.vcglr.vic.gov.au/Gaming/) extracted on the 8th of March 2019. Therefore venues that have either changed their trading name or cease to exist as of the 8th of March 2019 will not be included in this dataset, despite being active in the year expenditure was recorded. \n\n * EGM Numbers: Average number of operating EGM's at the gaming venue during the month. This figure is consistent with the average entitlement applied to the EGM as per tax calculation.\n
