Compensation of the effects of temperature on a motor system in the crab, Cancer borealis

This dataset contains raw electrophysiological and force recordings acquired from the stomatogastric neuromuscular system of the crab Cancer borealis for the associated study of temperature compensation in neuromuscular transform (PNAS: doi10.1073/pnas.2625185123 ). Raw recordings are provided as Axon Binary Files (.abf) and are organized by laboratory notebook and page number. The accompanying metadata spreadsheet, MetaData_compensation_2026.xlsx, links each ABF file to its experimental context, including experiment type, temperature, acclimation condition, stimulation protocol, recorded muscle, bath condition, and force-transducer calibration where applicable. The dataset includes recordings used for intact-preparation, nerve-evoked contraction, neuromuscular junction potential, and force experiments. The README file explains the folder structure, ABF naming convention, and how to map each recording to the metadata spreadsheet.
