Oligella species in ear discharge from children with CSOM

Oligella urethralis strain MSHR-50412-PR was isolated from an ear discharge swab collected at baseline from a child enrolled in a 2 x 2 factorial randomized controlled trial of two interventions (povidone-iodine ear wash and oral cotrimoxazole) given as an adjunct to standard treatment (The IHEARBETA trial: Wigger et al.
