This series is an accounting record, which presents annual summaries of the actual expenditure of the Legislative Council, against the amounts appropriated each year.In the annual Appropriation Acts, the Legislative Council was assigned amounts for items of expenditure such as departmental salaries, salaries of the President of the Legislative Council and Chairman of Committees, and contingencies. For each area of expenditure, monthly figures of the expenditure are provided and the yearly total of expenditure is recorded, with the total amount appropriated for that year.
