资源简介:
This dataset contains the downcast CTD profiles from 45 stations conducted during science cruise JR15004 to the South Orkney Islands, Southern Ocean in January and February 2016 onboard RRS James Clark Ross. The aims of the cruise, led by the British Antarctic Survey, were to examine the factors that determine the distribution of krill and other pelagic organisms across a range of time and space scales and comprised coordinated physical and biological studies from the ship. The CTD was typically deployed to a maximum depth of 1000 m, or 10 m above the seafloor in shallower areas and had oxygen, fluorescence, photosynthetically active radiation (PAR), and transmissometer sensors in addition to conductivity, temperature and pressure. The sensor data have not been calibrated beyond the factory calibrations. The underway oceanlogger data from the cruise are available separately from the British Oceanographic Data Centre (BODC), and biological datasets including biological multi-frequency acoustics and krill length frequency can be obtained from the UK Polar Data Centre. Full details of the cruise are given in the JR15004 cruise report, available from BODC.
