This dataset refers to an experimental project for the development nanotechnology tool for the diagnosis of atherosclerosis of superficial erosion.
The experimental procedures for mimicking superficial erosion involves two surgeries: first a cauterization of the left carotid artery is promoted (Electrical injury group). Then, 28 days after the first procedure, a second surgery is performed for the insertion of a constrictive cuff.
These two procedures were controlled by a SHAM group, for cauterization group (Electrical injury group), and a non-constrictive cuff, for constricted cuff group.
Unfractionated plasma of C57BL/6 APOE-/- mice of all groups were incubated with Fe-MOF and Zr-MOF nanoparticles for protein corona formation. Then, the protein corona were eluted and proteome analyzed. Proteomes of protein corona nanoparticles were compared with unfractionated plasma of each group.
