These files comprise the appraisement papers for homestead leases for the period before the Western Lands Act of 1901, which required all such leases to be brought under the new legislation. The papers include decisions of the Local Land Boards and New South Wales Land Court re rental and disputes; applications for decrease in rental due to lack of water etc.; maps of the holding; and outcome of appeals against the set rental.
