资源简介:
Danish Gallup Omnibus Data, 1961 comprises 42 omnibus surveys carried out by the Danish Gallup Institute in 1961. The surveys are numbered 01 to 48, but omnibuses 03 and 41 were not present in the material received from the Roper Center. Omnibuses 13-16 have been omitted from this file, as they contained neither special questions nor information about party preference. #Each omnibus contains a number of demographic variables common to all the surveys of that year, as well as a number of questions dealing with topical events. # The present survey comprises the variables common to the 42 omnibuses and a few additional variables that only appear in some of the omnibuses, but which, due to their demographic character, have been included in the year file. #The demographic variables are: sex, age and occupational status of head of household; income of head of household; social group; composition of household; size of household; urbanization; party preference; household income (omnibuses 35-48); bread-winner's age (omnibuses 35-48); education (omnibuses 42-48); number of children in household (omnibuses 42-48); respondent's occupation (omnibuses 45-48); and type of dwelling (omnibuses 21-24). # #The special questions deal with such issues as: # #Omnibuses 01, 02, 03 and 04 (DDA-0484): #Nuclear weapons in Europe; expected survival period of the Government; the need for a new Danish liberal centre party, and its relation to the existing parties; the most important domestic political issue in the coming year; interest in newspaper articles about foreign and domestic politics; housing conditions; and the ideal age for marrying. # #Omnibuses 05, 06, 07 and 08 (DDA-0485): #Assessment of the Government's representativity; government preference; motives for choice of party; the rule requiring a party to win a certain percentage of votes cast in order to be represented in Parliament; public subsidies to SAS (Scandinavian Airlines System); and the UN in Congo. # #Omnibuses 09, 10, 11 and 12 (DDA-0486): #The Danish Academy; Danish membership of NATO; and attitudes to being under German NATO command. # #Omnibuses 17, 18, 19 and 20 (DDA-0487): #Returning the Icelandic manuscripts; attitudes to Germany; TV broadcasts; and attitudes to religion and to the Bible, especially belief in Genesis and in the miracles worked by Jesus. # #Omnibuses 21, 22, 23 and 24 (DDA-0488): #The housing situation; left-handedness in the family; summer holidays; food budget; and the prospects for Denmark's economy. # #Omnibuses 25, 26 and 27 (DDA-0489): #Ability to swim; the threat of a new world war; the UN's ability to cope; the Cold War and long-range missiles; factors influencing the respondent's attitudes; and whether the respondent is divorced. # #Omnibuses 28 and 29 (DDA-0490): #No special questions. # #Omnibuses 30, 31 and 32 (DDA-0491): #The Berlin crisis; attitudes to the Government; Danish membership of the EC (provided that Great Britain becomes a member); concert and theatre attendance; and the Eichmann case. # #Omnibuses 33, 34, 35 and 36 (DDA-0492): #Terms of notice; drunken driving; Danish membership of the EC (provided that Great Britain becomes a member); and the EC labour market. # #Omnibuses 37, 38, 39 and 40 (DDA-0493): #Whether women feel they are treated badly when alone in shops and restaurants; membership of the National Church; and elections in the USSR. # #Omnibuses 42, 43 and 44 (DDA-0494): #Consumption taxes; best and worst subject at school; should nouns begin with small or capital letters; the Russian nuclear tests and the relative strength of the Great Powers; and homosexual school teachers. # #Omnibuses 45, 46, 47 and 48 (DDA-0495): #Working hours; Saturdays off; the prospects for Denmark's economy; political stability (both foreign and domestic) in 1962; and attitudes to NATO, and to being under German NATO command. # #Unless otherwise stated, the rest of this study description deals with the recurring questions only.
