PB-QCT AND PL-QCT

We aimed to analyze the consistency of bone mineral density (BMD) by using Phantom-based quantitative computed tomography (PB-QCT) and phantom-less quantitative computed tomography (PL-QCT) in patients with maintenance hemodialysis (MHD). A total of 88 patients with MHD in the Affiliated Suzhou Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from April 2022 to August 2023 were collected. BMD of thoracolumbar vertebra, total hip and femoral neck were measured by PB-QCT and PL-QCT, and BMD of thoracolumbar vertebra was classified as normal bone mass, low bone loss and osteoporosis. Correlation and consistency analysis were performed on BMD measured by using PB-QCT and PL-QCT, and Kappa test was used to evaluate the consistency between PB-QCT and PL-QCT classification of thoracolumbar vertebral BMD.
