The dataset contains approximately 27,000 images captured in stores and laboratory settings in Poland, with around 2 million tags involving about 8,000 unique SKUs. All annotations are in the form of bounding boxes, with some products originally annotated with segmentation masks. The creation of this dataset was partially funded by European Funds for an R&D project titled Recognition of store products using image analysis. The dataset is stored in COCO format and it is recommended to use pycocotools for browsing. Additionally, there are two auxiliary annotations, unreadable and unknown_product, which indicate products whose categories could not be unambiguously determined and SKUs not in the product database at the time of tagging, respectively.
