Targeted full-length 16S and ITS amplicon metagenomic profiling of drain-associated microbial communities

This project generated full-length 16S rRNA gene and ITS amplicon sequencing data from microbial communities associated with household drain samples. Bacterial and fungal populations were selectively cultured on SDA and LB+nystatin agar plates, pooled into mixed inocula, and sequenced using the PacBio Sequel II platform in HiFi/CCS mode. The resulting data provide high-resolution profiles of bacterial and fungal community composition for use in metagenomic and microbiome research.
