资源简介:

This dataset accompanies the study entitled “Inter-Limb Differences in Impact Force and Segmental Accelerations at the Instant of Peak Force during the ITF Taekwon-Do Turning Kick.” It contains anonymized trial-level data collected from ITF Taekwon-Do athletes performing turning kicks with the left and right legs. The dataset includes maximum resultant impact force, effective mass, target contact time, and resultant velocity and acceleration values for the foot, shank, and thigh. Effective mass was operationally estimated as the ratio of maximum resultant impact force to maximum resultant foot acceleration recorded during the same kick. Target contact time represents the duration of contact between the kicking foot and the target and is expressed in seconds. The workbook contains four worksheets: (1) README, providing an overview of the dataset and its structure; (2) Data_dictionary, describing all variables, units, and coding; (3) Analysis_dataset, containing the data retained for analysis after outlier removal; and (4) Excluded_rows, containing the excluded observations for transparency and reproducibility. Participant names were replaced with pseudonymous identifiers. The same identifier is used consistently across all worksheets. Each row represents one recorded kick trial. Because multiple kicks were performed by each athlete, repeated trials should not be treated as independent observations in inferential analyses. In the accompanying study, repeated trials were averaged separately for each athlete and each leg, with the athlete serving as the unit of analysis.
