Testis development and spermatogenesis are vital factors that influence male animal fertility. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been identified as important regulators of testis development; however, their expression patterns and roles in goat testes remain unclear. Thus, we used RNA-seq to profile the goat testis transcriptome (lncRNAs and mRNAs) at three specific stages of growth and development (3, 6, and 12 months of age).
