Transcriptome RNA sequencing of mice with MCAO ischemic stroke under condition of intermittent fasting. Mus musculus

C57BL/6NTac male mice were exposed to 4 months duration of intermittent fasting (IF) conditions including daily 12 and 16 h of fasting. Then, experimental ischemic stroke was induced by occluding the middle cerebral artery following consecutive reperfusion. Mid-coronal section of ipsilateral cerebral tissues were harvested at the end of the 1 h ischemic period or at 3, 12, 24, or 72 h of reperfusion. RNA extracted from each cerebral tissue was assessed with mRNA sequencing to observe the transcriptomic changes in each timepoint affected by different IF conditions.
