Effect of IL-1a-deficiency on neutrophil gene expression during P. aeruginosa infection of the corneas

We found enhanced bacterial killing and less disease in Il1a-/- corneas compared to WT when infected with PAO1. To investigate the mechanism downstream of IL-1R1, we compared the transcriptomic profile of neutrophils isolated from WT or Il1a-/- infected corneas. Overall design: Comparative gene expression profiling analysis of RNA-seq data for WT and Il1a-/- neutrophils FACS isolated from PAO1-infected corneas at 24 hours post infection.
