Senior Adviser's Research Material, first series

This series of paper-based records consists of folders of research material accumulated and used by two senior advisers to J M (Malcolm) Fraser in the period he was Leader of the Opposition (March-November 1975) and in his first year as Prime Minister (November 1975-December 1976). The senior advisers at the time were Dr David Kemp and, later, Petro Georgiou. Many of the files include earlier papers, however, particularly from the early 1970s. The research material was drawn from a wide range of sources and includes departmental briefs, correspondence, speech notes, addresses, news cuttings and publications. These records are currently held at the University of Melbourne Archives.
