Nighttime population according to SNI 2007, 2022 - - Statistical data for Malmö's areas

Shows the industry in which the employed people living in the area work. The division follows the Standard for Swedish Industrial Classification (SNI) 2007. The categories O (unknown), A (agriculture, hunting and forestry), B (extraction of materials), D (supply of electricity, gas, heating and cooling), E (water supply, etc.), T (household production, etc.) and U (activity at international organizations) have been merged into the category "Other" due to the low number of people working in these industries. The variable also shows the total number of employed people living in the area. Only people working in Sweden are counted. The variable is divided by gender. Shown for the population 15–74 years. Based on statistics from SCB BAS ("Labour Market Status of the Population"). The statistics include all individuals between 16 and 74 who are registered in Sweden on 31 December. Starting with the reference year 2022, a new data source is used as SCB switches data source to BAS from the previous RAMS ("Register-based labour market statistics"). There are differences between how RAMS defines gainfully employed and how BAS defines employed. For example, RAMS classifies those who work in Denmark as not gainfully employed, while in BAS they are counted as employed under certain circumstances. There is therefore a time series break for this time series starting with data from 2022. The change of source and method means that comparisons of statistics regarding daytime population in 2022 and previous reference years must be made with great caution.
