Tripartite analysis of tomato-associated microbiomes during Meloidogyne incognita parasitism

Studies assessing root knot nematode (RKN) parasitism and host-associated microbiomes relationship have focused on the bacterial and fungal communities, neglecting the unicellular eukaryotes members. In this study, we employed amplicon sequencing analysis of the 16s rRNA, ITS and 18S rRNA genes, and comprehensively examine the composition, diversity and microbiome networking in the rhizosphere and root of RKN-inoculated and non-inoculated tomato across a temporal timescale.
