Phenotypic Data of 251 Bread Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) Genotypes Used for GWAS Analysis

This dataset contains phenotypic measurements for 251 bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) genotypes used in our GWAS study. The plant material was sourced from the Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK). Field experiments were conducted at the Agricultural Research Station of the Department of Agronomy and Plant Breeding, Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman, Iran (30.25°N, 57.10°E; 1760 m above sea level) across two consecutive cropping seasons (2019–2021). The study was laid out in a rectangular lattice design (16 × 17) with two replications. Each plot measured 1.2 m × 5 m, with row spacing of 0.25 m. The experimental soil was sandy loam, with pH 7.9 and electrical conductivity (EC) of 2.11 dS/m. Data Processing:Best Linear Unbiased Estimates (BLUEs) across years were calculated for all traits using the Restricted Maximum Likelihood (REML) procedure in GenStat, 14th Edition, with genotype considered as a fixed effect. These phenotypic data complement the previously published genotyping data generated using the Illumina iSelect 90K SNP array and enable analysis of population structure and genome-wide associations for Component Yield-Related Traits in bread wheat. Note: While a total of 272 genotypes were evaluated in the field trials, only 251 genotypes were included in the GWAS analysis. This dataset contains the phenotypic measurements for all 251 genotypes used in the GWAS analysis. This dataset supports the manuscript titled " Genome-Wide Association Study Reveals Key SNP Markers for Component Yield-Related Traits in Bread Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), currently under peer-review at BMC Genomics.
